Memphis Trip

All the Memphis Group
Our time in Memphis was really amazing! But the trip did start out a little rough. The lady who was supposed to lead the Deaf Youth Praise Team ended up getting sick and was unable to go with us to Memphis, and the A/C on the bus was broken, so we had no air during our two days, and thirteen hours total, of driving from Concord, NC, to Memphis, TN. But the trip was so worth it! Sunday morning I led the Deaf Youth Praise Team as they performed the three songs for the Deaf Church services, and they did an AMAZING job! Monday began the first day of Deaf Camp; it started at 9:00 AM and ended at 3:00 PM. We had seventeen children the first day. We added at least one new child everyday and on the last day we had twenty-one children, ages five to sixteen. I helped out with the younger children, and then also helped out with the Great Commission Class, and also helped to voice interpret some (my first time ever doing so). It was so much fun! And I loved getting to know these children, and am sad I had to say goodbye. The best part of the trip was that two children joined the family of God! I had such a great time on this trip! And thankfully we were able to get the air condition on the bus fixed while we were in Memphis, and had air condition on our thirteen hour, two day trip home. I am looking forward to getting some good rest after this long but amazing week, and then continuing on with the rest of this summer's work!
